46 hours on their feet, millions raised – Why?
For The Kids!
Update: THON 2016 completed February 21, 2016 raising nearly $10 million to fight pediatric cancer! But it’s never too late to donate at http://thon.org.
Penn State’s Dance Marathon – 46 hours on your feet and dancing. Even the thousands of spectators and supporters who crowd the arena remain on their feet to honor the dancers and the kids. Billed as the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, THON raised nearly $10 MILLION this year, $137 million since 1973! The Four Diamonds Fund at the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital is the beneficiary. Defeating pediatric cancer is the goal with funds supporting treatment, families and medical research. Eagerly anticipated by the thousands of participating PSU students and even more so by the many families who benefit and attend, the dance marathon is the culmination of the year’s fundraising activities.
